Trauma informed wellbeing coach and nervous system guide
Trauma-informed coaching is a compassionate, body-centered approach that recognises the impact of stress and trauma on the nervous system. Rather than focusing only on the mind, it honours the wisdom of the body and supports people to build safety, resilience, and self-trust at their own pace.
Somatic practices bring awareness to sensations, breath, and movement. They help us reconnect with our bodies, release stored tension, and gently expand our capacity to feel, rest, and respond to life with presence. This work is not about “fixing” but about creating space to come home to oneself—with softness, curiosity, and care.
- Nervous System Mapping
Teaching participants how to notice the states of their nervous system (calm, activated, shut down) through sensation awareness. - Simple journalling or drawing exercise to track patterns.
- Grounding & Regulation Skills
Practices such as orienting (noticing the environment), breath awareness, or self-soothing touch to support safety in the body. - Pendulation & Titration
Gentle guided exercises moving between comfort and mild activation (e.g., tension release, then relaxation), helping the body learn it can safely shift states. - Somatic Movement & Release
Free, intuitive movement or shaking practices to discharge stored stress and reconnect with aliveness. - Shadow & Parts Integration
Guided explorations to meet disowned or hidden parts of the self with curiosity and compassion. - Nature-Based Somatic Rituals
Simple practices such as grounding barefoot on the earth, tree-leaning for support, or breathwork in natural spaces to deepen body–nature connection. - Closing Circle & Reflection
Sharing, journalling, or silent integration time to anchor new insights and nervous system shifts.
